The ski season kicks into high gear during the three-day Martin Luther King holiday weekend in mid January. Northern Michigan's three ski resorts--Nub's Nob, Boyne Highlands, and Boyne Mountain--draw a big, fun, happy crowd during this first ski holiday of the new year.If you don't know how to ski, sign up for ski school. You can learn to ski or board, rent equipment, sit in a hot tub at the end of the day or enjoy the apres ski experience in Northern Michigan. All of Northern Michigan--Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Charlevoix, Boyne City, Boyne Falls, and Indian River--gears up for this fun weekend.
