July 4th Up North

July 4th in Northern Michigan is a celebration for the entire family. Fun, sun, music, parades, fireworks, and family activities take place from dawn until dusk.

Alanson Begin July 4th with a pancake breakfast followed by a 9am parade and concessions in the park.

Bay Harbor The Petoskey Steel Band performs at 8:30pm July 3 on the marina lawn followed by fireworks at dusk. On July 4, the Independence Day parade takes place at 11am.

Beaver Island Start the celebrations with a parade at 2pm down Main Street followed by a carnival, boat parade, and fireworks.

Boyne City The day begins with a run along Lake Charlevoix and continues with a a parade, pie eating contest, duck race on the Boyne River, music, children's activities, foods, and fireworks on Lake Charlevoix. Boyne City's July 4th is fun for the entire family.

Charlevoix New this year in Charlevoix is the Up Fourth North celebration July 5, 4-10pm with music, beer, food, and entertainment for the family.

Cross Village The Cross Village parade begins at 1pm. A 10th anniversary celebration takes place at Three Pines Studio after the parade.

Harbor Springs Dusk to dawn celebrations in Harbor Springs beginning with the Paul Revere Fun. An art fair in Zorn Park, parade, dog look alike contest, free sailboat rides, food, music, and fireworks take place in Harbor Springs.

Indian River A parade at 2pm down Straits Highway and fireworks at dusk are on tap for July 4th in Indian River.

Mackinaw City Games for children, music all day long, and fireworks on the waterfront....perfect!

Petoskey A parade at 6pm, music at Bayfront Park, and fireworks on the waterfront take place in Petoskey.

July Fourth in the North....you bet!
