The Bay Harbor Ice and Snow Festival is a fun, family event that celebrates winter. Stop by for a true ice carving competition Friday and Saturday with both professional and amateur divisions competing for cash prizes. The festival is sanctioned by the National Ice Carving Association with professional and amateur Divisions boasting a total of 20 carvers will be awarded with medals and cash prizes of over $12,000. The ice sculptures will be on display throughout the Village at Bay Harbor.

Special activities for this Northern Michigan event include aerial ski and snowboard performances and 2pm and 4pm on Saturday and sled dog musher rides 12-3pm Saturday. The warming tent on the Village lawn offers hot and cold drinks.

Saturday's chili cook-off from 12-3pm Saturday includes amateur and professionals. First prize is both divisions is $500. The Pro-Am Chili Challenge with a $5 minimum donation is a fund raiser for Brother Dan's Food Pantry and the Manna Food Project through the Bay Harbor Foundation.
